The University of Surrey is a publicly owned research and eductional university that was setup in the year 1891 under the name of Battersea Polytechnic Institute. On September 9, 1966, it was renamed as University of Surrey by Royal Charter. The University has consists of four faculties:Faculty of Arts & Human Sciences, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Faculty of Business, Economics and Law and Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. It has rewarded with Queen's Award. The University of Surrey is affiliated to The Pacific Asia Travel Association, The Association of Commonwealth Universities and The European University Association.
