The British Columbia Wildlife Park is an accredited member of the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA). The Idea of the park was proposed by Wildlife Park founder John Moelaert and the park was opened for public on 16th August of 1966.

The British Columbia Wildlife Park has more than 65 species and that covered land area of 105 acres. The British Columbia Wildlife Park is operated by volunteer board of 14 members. The animals are wolfs, zebra, birds, eagles, swans, snakes, crocodiles, tigers, cheetahs, leopards, Hofstock and many others.
